Today I went to university to study Acoustic exam (on this Sat). I parked the Mini in front of Edward house and he gave me a ride to university. This is what happen when I get back.....
A stupid dude crashed into our beloved MINI, she crashed so hard and the entire panel behind the driver side door deformed.
(Look at the bright side, lucky even she crashed into our car, she responsiblity enough to leave a letter on my windscreen and admit that is her fault. So that, we dont need to pay anything to get it fix (even dun need to pay the excess))
BUT our beautiful beloved MINI is ruin!!!!!! MINI..........MINI..............MINI

Wof and first 100kms

Today the Mini reached the 100kms mark and it fly through another WOF again.
The next expire day for the WOF is 1st Jan 2010, New Year Day!!
Oopz, no garage will open on that day....so where I can get my WOF!!!!!XD

Bought a rev counter from TradeMe last week. It is a SMITHS rev counter which made in U.K.
It matches perfectly to my Mini theme, I will install it later when I have time^^

Finally dad found and bought a 2.5mm inner-diameter hose in Hong Kong. (The sale person in Hong Kong said it is for high pressure and temperature environment.(finger cross))

Today, the steering and suspension system had been lubricated.
- Front wheel upper swivel hub
- Front wheel suspension upper arm inner pivot
- The rear wheel suspension radius pivot
Somehow, I feel the ride is smoother than before!!

Swapped the original wheel with a 2nd hand 12” sporty steering wheel.
(P.S. my sis think the old one is more suitable to Mini than this lor, but I think this one better la....she have no taste, whahahahahha)=P

Finally, I have enough $$ to replace the pair of CV joints (constant velocity joints)
Now, the car do not have that “locking” noise when the steering will on full lock......wonderful!!!!

Today is another big day, me and dad installed a tachometer to the Mini.

Today I take the Mini to Pitshop to check the brake system...
- Replace and renew the brake shoes & brake fluid
- Change front wheel brake’s wheel-cylinders
- Skim the brake drum

I drove the Mini to school today for maintenance in my TAE class.
Changed:
(P.S. Hohoho~~ Dad finaly drove the Mini2day~ He said it is so hard to handle, so he failed his Mini’s driver test~ :p)

Work on rear - I

- Removed the rear bumper.
- Scrubbed all the rusts of the boot and bumper area. Sadly, there are few holes in the boot area, so me and my dad fix the holes for the boot today.
Big day - fully clean up

- Removed all the seats and door panels(front and rear)
- Clean up the boot and get ready for rebuild the battery box

- Air filter replaced
- Windscreen wiper replaced
- reset the type pressure to 25 psi
The odometer indicated that the car only done 93625 km since 1980. However, the odometer only have 5 digits and I reckon that the odometer already go through 2 cycles. Therefore, the real km the car already done should be 293625 km
Mini Arrived

Picked up the Mini at 3:30pm from Pukekohe.
Arrive home around 5pm.
Once we back home, the refresh work carry on for about 3 hours (Mainly exterior clear up.)
hehe.....
